So, in the words of my sister, "Why the hell did you call your page Wild Turkey Crossing?
to which I can only reply with the following: On the day I created this website (April 21, 2000), my dad and I drove to Peterborough, which is 2 and a half hours away. Whilst driving down highway 12 towards Orillia, we came across an area where my dad claims to see wild turkey running across the road on a regular basis. And this made me think of those signs that roads usually have, with "_____ crossing" on them, but of course there are no wild turkey crossing signs. so this site is the official warning of Wild Turkey Crossings. beware the wrath of the bird.
of course, the wild turkey is also symbolic of my teenager-on-the-verge-of-adulthood self, but that's stretching it a little
get back in line.
